Today, we’re excited to introduce Dakota Grady, a Lineman Technician at our Orange Park location. We sat down with Dakota to learn more about his background, his journey with Big Chief Tire, and what he loves most about being part of our team.
Q. Tell us a little about yourself.
A: I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, and I really enjoy playing pool in my spare time.
Q. What is your current role at Big Chief Tire, and how did you get here?
A: I’m a Lineman Technician at the Orange Park location. I started as a general service tech and tire tech three and a half years ago, thanks to a friend who worked at Philips. I’ve been able to work my way up since then.
Q. How does your previous role as a general service tech differ from your current role?
A: In my current role, I focus more on directly interacting with customers and ensuring their vehicles are safe and well-maintained. I love being able to help people out and provide them with peace of mind about their cars.
Q. What’s your favorite part about your job?
A: My favorite part is definitely dealing with the customers. I enjoy making sure they’re happy and feel safe in their vehicles. There’s a real sense of satisfaction in helping others.
Q. What are your personal goals for yourself and Big Chief Tire?
A: I aspire to become a sales advisor and eventually move into management. I’m a people person, and I thrive on building relationships. My long-term goal is to retire from Big Chief Tire after many years of service.
Q. Why would you recommend someone work at Big Chief Tire?
A: The atmosphere here is fantastic. The management and my coworkers are great, and it really feels like a family. You can have fun at work, joke around, and genuinely enjoy your time here.
Q. What would you say to someone considering bringing their car to Big Chief Tire?
A: We pride ourselves on honesty. If you don’t need a service, we’ll let you know. If you do, we’ll be straightforward about it. You can trust us to take good care of your vehicle.
Q. Just for fun, what car do you drive? Has Big Chief Tire serviced it?
A: I drive a 2003 GMC Sierra. Big Chief Tire has serviced it quite a bit!
