This month we are spotlighting a team member who has been with us for 11 years and counting. Robert Ables is a compassionate and professional service technician at our westside location.

Robert’s Background
Robert grew up in Arkansas before moving to Jacksonville in 1987. His entire life has been filled with cars, fascinated by them and working with them for years.
After moving to Florida, he met someone at church who worked at a local tire shop, Big Chief Tire. He encouraged Robert to apply for a job there, and he is so glad he did. Robert loves working at Big Chief because he is always treated with respect. His managers understand that he is a human being, not just an employee.
What Robert Does in His Free Time
The great outdoors is Robert’s favorite place to be. He loves hunting or doing anything that allows him to enjoy the beautiful Jacksonville, Florida weather.
Another fun fact about Robert is that he is an avid jiu-jitsu fighter. Additionally, since his grandson is a bull rider, he enjoys going to the rodeo to cheer him on.
Robert’s Dream Car and Why
While growing up in Arkansas, Robert first learned how to drive in a classic 1966 Ford Pickup. To this day, that is his dream truck.
